Come Fly with us along the Edge of Chaos - this is the zone between stability and Chaos that supports the potential for Life, be it carbon based or electronic. It is here that we see the power of Emergence, the Fractal Beauty Emerging here at the edge of chaos is generated by a simple dynamic:

iterated into itself again and again for every pont in the complex plain.
The curve you are seeing in the video here is the boundary between stable periodic motion and chaotic motion.
The colours indicate the different rates at which points on the boudary shift outwards towards infinity. The darkness inside the boundary illustrates all the points that move periodically towards zero, i.e. the origin (centre) of the complex plane.
These two great Attractors (lurking at zero and Infinity) generate the tension at this boundary and along it emerge billions of tiny local attractors around which swirl the dynamics of unstable equilibrium dancing at the very edge of chaos!
